Why is this season dry?

Hey everyone, good morning or afternoon or evening wherever you are. I am so excited today on what I would like to share with you. I know that taking your time to read this post would be of great benefits and it will refresh your soul.

It’s about where you are right now, some of you right now feels there is a full stop to your life while some of you right now are like on a smooth ride, you are experiencing a major blessing from every corner. You who is in a place where you hardly receive any good or positive news or thing happening to you, is wondering why do others seem to not go through hardships and everything looks rosy for them, unlike you who works hard, prays, do everything possible to the best of your knowledge to come out on the top and still nothing yet seems forthcoming.

My dear I know how this feels and have experienced that before but lets look into this scripture Ecclesiastes 3:

For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.

As you can see, everything we all experience is in its timing, those people who you admire their success are in their season and you who is still in a dry season is also in your season and it doesn’t mean that it will remain permanent forever,NO!!. There is this saying that goes “tough problems do not last but tough people do” It will still end in praise no matter where you are right now. Some might say oh you do not understand, my dear i might not have experienced what you are going through  but i can tell you today that i myself went through a dry season, the apostle peter in 1 peter 5:9 tells us to “Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are”. My dry season was not glamorous but God pulled me through, initially i was bitter, angry, sad etc. but the  dry season taught me something which I will share below

  • My suffering serves me a purpose: The Apostle James in James 1 vs 2-4 showed us why those dry times you are experiencing which stems from one trial to the other is good for you  Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing

  • It reveals how weak you are and shows you that you cannot achieve victory without help from God: Hebrews 4:15-16  Jesus understands every weakness of ours, because he was tempted in every way that we are. But he did not sin! 16 So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved kindness, and we will find help. I will give a brief example, during my dry season God revealed to me the areas in my life that needed to go but i resisted it because i did not believe those things were actually a fruit in me, after going round the same mountain, i came to a realization that i needed to accept i was weak and i could only be victorious through God’s help. God is always willing to help and one of his major aim is to deliver us from our sins. It comes from a place of surrender and willingness to go through that phase by depending on him and not ourselves. My dear “Trust God even when you are hurting”

  • It gives you a deeper understanding of God’s plan for your life: Job went through a difficult season and at first he trusted God, believed Him but after a while and so much persuasion from friends and family, he questioned God. God had to let him know that what he went through was a plan to cause him to see how mighty his acts are and after God told him to pray for his friends and he did, God blessed him more than what he had, so remember that God has a plan for what you are going through and His promises to you is in 1 peter 5: 10 So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

  • It gives you strength to go through other challenges to be faced in future with a renewed mind, it gives you the opportunity to witness to others of God’s mighty acts.

These are just a few of the things that i learnt during my dry season and now i have the courage to go through other trials with more faith, confidence in God to show me how to overcome it. Also there was something profound i learnt that the dry seasons we all go through is for us all to “BE STILL and know that HE IS GOD” it gives you the brace to learn to be patient, hope in God and see how God will sustain you even if the challenges doesn’t go away. it will teach you that your joy is in Christ even if your situation does not change or not.

I pray that God will reveal Himself more to you and the promise of Zephaniah 3:17  For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. This promise would be evident in your life, situation now and forever. Amen

ANNOUNCEMENT: I also will like to share with you that the lord in his faithfulness has led me to start a ministry on social media and the reason why am saying this is because he had given me everything to start with months back, the name, what i need to do, what platform to share it on but my flesh and personal fears will record a video but will not upload it. God in his mercy and grace asked me again few days ago Why are you not preaching? So i am ready to be accountable and follow His instructions, after all its not about me but about His strength made perfect in my weakness Please i will love for you to cover me in your prayers when you pray daily for yourself. May no evil come upon me, may the good lord strengthen me and let His purpose prevail. Will give more information when its about to start. Thank you for your love

  1. Always give thanks… it could have been worse. This post reminded me so much of God’ faithfulness. No, I will not be ungrateful… not anymore! I’m not where I want to be, and I believe this is exactly where he wants me to be atm… seasons and phases. I’d rather be where he’s want me to be than be where I want to be. I’d enjoyed this journey with Him by my side… one scripture I hold dear to my heart is “Cindy, God’ plan for you is of good- always good and not of evil to bring me to an expected end… to give me a hope and a future. No matter what!! His plan for me is of good and I’m glad I’m his child. To know that no matter what I go through, He has my back! #GodGotMe #Passions&Pathway
