When Your Mind Refuses To Connect With Your Heart

heart and moind

I believe all of us have been there, our mind tells us that we can do it, God is great, He is a miracle worker, He can do all things but when we are faced with trials or are in a tough spot, it becomes difficult for our heart to resonate with any of those things brought to pass.

I asked myself this question Why? I mean why is it that my heart does not want to stay in faith?, why does my heart not want to accept to be patient and trust God?, why does my heart not want to sing praises and worship God despite my situation, Why am i still in that relationship when I know that it is unhealthy? Why is it that my mind tells me God can provide for me and my heart tells me to look at my bank account? why? why? why?

I pondered on these questions, why is there a lack of connection between my MIND and HEART? I need to know the answer, GOD, please.

This piece above was found in my draft written on March 2019 …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Today, I went to my blog to create content and found some of my uncompleted works which were never published, I felt the leading to finish it by writing what God taught me and many more.

June 2019 …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

I realized that I did not believe GOD neither did I believe all that HE said to me via prophecy or HIS word, for one to claim the promises of GOD and allow its manifestation. We ought to have faith, it all leads to FAITH.

1Peter 1 vs 5,6,7  Peter explains to us that it is through our faith in GOD that we will experience salvation, and it is normal for us to go through difficult seasons. It is how we handle those periods that will determine what is next. Hebrews 11:6 Without Faith it is impossible to please God because there is no one who comes to the father to receive anything that will not BELIEVE that He exists (GOD) and is the rewarder of good things.

The reason why there seems to be a disconnection between the Heart and Mind is that we have allowed some seeds to be planted in us which are unbelief, lack of quiet time with God, sin, focusing on the cares of the world, etc. It is these things and many more that do not let the word of God in us bear many fruits. That is why we get frustrated with God and ourself.

So many times, we will see in scripture where GOD tells us to ask and we shall receive, my question is how do we know that we can receive a gift when we ask? This is because we know the giver of the gift to be someone who never fails at the promises given. If we believe all that God has promised us there will be no room for fear, despair, discouragement.

I believe that there are steps/ways to reconnect our heart and mind when there seems to be a war. First  John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing”. Now that it has been identified, the ways for us to reconnect our heart and mind is to

Know our identity in God, Consciously believe all that HE has said to you by spending time in His word and with Him, To also understand the crafty devices of the enemy and what he intends to do (To cause Separation), To consciously choose Faith even in things that no physical manifestation has occurred (praying, singing, worship, declaring his promises repeatedly until your heart believes it).

As a believer it takes a conscious and determined decision to want to choose joy over sadness, choose to meditate on God’s goodness, pour your fears, worries, pains, and anxiety unto the LORD instead of internalizing them. God has so much in store for you only if you can MATURE UP, THEN YOU WILL FIND OUT THAT THE WORD OF GOD IS THE BINDING GLUE TO YOUR HEART AND MIND.

GOD BLESS YOU….
